In 2020 ends, adidas Skateboarding and Mark Gonzales dropped yet another story-driven Aloha Super. Whereas previous collaborations commemorated some of “The Gonz’s” most important on-screen performances, the latest pays tribute to Gonzales’ work behind the scenes as famed casting director “Karol Winthrop.” The Aloha Super’s premium nubuck upper, leather overlays and inner lining borrow their “Bark” colorway from those same shoes, but are accompanied “The Gonz”-approved detailing. Cyan-colored Shmoofoil logos animate the tongue, sockliners and initials on the heel, while a semi-translucent “Vapour Pink” sole unit proffers style and skate-ready grip.
