Silicone will not mar your helmet and is easily removable . ** Silicone is the ONLY reliable method for securing your tails to a MATTE FINISH HELMET ** VASELINE PETROLEUM JELLY MOTOR OIL COOKING/BABY OIL NOTE: The use of water or saliva is discouraged due to its rapid evaporation properties. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Remove any tangles with fingers or a wide-toothed comb. 2. Fill sink with cool or lukewarm water. Never use hot water. 3. Add a very small amount of mild shampoo or wig (synthetic) shampoo to the water and swirl the tail(s) around in the sink. 4. Rinse the tail(s) thoroughly in cold water. Do not wring or twist. Allow to drip dry. 5. When completely dry, apply stay-in conditioner formulated for synthetic hair and/or shine spray (use sparingly), if desired. 6. Comb tails using fingers, a wide-toothed comb, or a pick. Start from the bottom of the tail and work up toward the suction cup. Never use a brush.
